We have enjoyed another season of nomadic and sociable tennis, with seven matches played of which we won four (Old Sennockians, Canford, The Hyde and Hurlingham Pigeons), drew one (Bristol & Bath) and lost two (Holyport and Queen’s). We were also invited to enter a pair into a new handicap doubles tournament for peripatetic clubs played at Holyport at the end of May for the Polaris Cup, where Ian Fuller and Jim Ludden represented the OTs. The season ended with our annual internal handicap doubles competition played at Hardwick, where David Mills and Richard Stocks retained their title, beating Anthony Osmond-Evans and Mark Thornton in the final.
